Netflix recommendations for Lady Macbeth...
All of the following programs are based off of a significant theme/plot point in Macbeth... murder.  The suggestions I've chosen all include murder done by a female character, done in the smartest, classiest way possible.

1. Heathers
Heathers is one of my all-time favorite movies because of its twist on the traditional high school movie.  The character Veronica (played by Winona Ryder) goes from being a nobody to being popular, by joining the "Heathers" yet hates her new found status.  She meets JD (played by Christian Slater), who helps her confront the Heathers through, um, "unconventional" methods... these methods being murder.  JD and Veronica sucessfully perform and frame numerous murders, without being caught.

This movie is the ultimate Lady Macbeth recomendation because it mirrors many themes from the play.  Both include well thought out murders, so well thought out that the murderers were never caught.  The two works also feature a total badass duo who take on their endevors together.

2. Gone Girl
Gone Girl is about a girl, Amy, who goes missing to her husband' Nick's confusion.  It seems to everyone that Amy was murdered, when in fact, she ran away and sucessfully framed a murder on her husband.  She is sucessful in causing her husband to be the prime suspect in her murder case, despite his innocence.  She not only once, but twice alters a crime scene to uphold her story and trick law enforcement.  The second time, Amy murders a man and makes it look as though it was done in self defense.

Lady Macbeth is similar to Amy because of her brilliance in covering up murder.  Neither character was caught due to the detailed plans being created and executed perfectly.  Both characters were able to keep their actions a secret, only revealing the truth to individuals of their choosing.

3. Chicago
Chlicago is a movie based off of a musical (you had to expect at least one musical from the musical theatre kid), in which the character Roxy murders a man she is cheating on her husband with and ends up in prison.  While there, Roxy meets a fellow murderer, Velma.  Roxy creates an elaborate plot to trick the public into giving her their support.  She is freed from prison after planting fake evidence and faking a pregnancy, winning herself her innocence.  Once out of prision, Roxy's fame fizzles away as the public no longer cares about her case, but instead a new one.

The character Roxy is similar to Lady Macbeth for two reasons.  Firstly, the characters were able to win innocence, despite the actions they took in a murder of a man.  Secondly,  both characters lose what they treasured the most in their lives at the end because of their ambitions.  Roxy loses her fame after finally being freeed from prison.  Lady Macbeth loses her relationship with her husband after finally gaining the throne.

4. 10 Things I Hate About You
Although this movie doesn't have murder, I thought it would be fitting.  10 Things I Hate About You is about a girl named Kat, who is a high school student who doesnt really fit in with your stereotypical teenage girl.  Kat seems standofish and manly because of her strength and lack of caring for what most girls spend their time obsessing over.  Kat's dad has a rule that her younger sister Bianca cannot date unless Kat does, leading Kat to eventually meet Patrick.  Guys looking to date Bianca hired Patrick to date Kat, but they eventually fall in love bla bla bla...

My point of this is Kat is a total badass, just like Lady Macbeth.  She goes against almost all of society's standards because she instead chooses to stay true to herself.  Lady Macbeth has this same characteristic by being the "man" in the relationship, which is taboo in the timeperiod she is set in.  Kat is also lacking this "girliness" and instead trades it for independence and strength, just like Lady Macbeth.
